O'KEEFE² GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY

After years of being rewarded by our clients in the community, we want to continue to give back. Every year, O'KEEFE² awards Academic & Business scholarships to high school seniors who are continuing their education in post-secondary schools and/or the business world.

O'KEEFE² Academic Scholarship Fund

Qualifications

1. One(1) $1,000 (One Thousand Dollar) Scholarship Grant will be awarded to a graduating senior for the 2007/2008 school year.
   
2. The criteria considered to select the recipient are as follows:
   a. An established academic standing
   b. Consistent participation in extra-curricular activities
   c. Documented community service hours
   d. Existing financial need
   
3. Two letters of reference must accompany the application. One letter is to be provided by someone familiar with the student’s academic standing and extracurricular activities. The other must come from someone familiar with the student’s community service work or employment history. Upon request, the high school may provide information about the student’s class size, grade point average and class standing as may be required to help determine the finalist.
   
4. A typed, 400-word (minimum) response to the following essay question will be required on 8-1/2” x 11” white paper. Name, address, phone number plus school attended must be included on each page. The essay question is: How will this O'KEEFE² Academic Scholarship Fund assist in furthering my education?

Application, essay, and two letters of reference must be submitted by March 1, 2008. Four board members will review and discuss the applications and enclosures to determine the winners. The winners will be notified by April 31, 2008. The O'KEEFE² Academic Scholarship Fund will forward the value of the scholarship grant to the school indicated by the winner. The funds will be applied by the school to the recipient's first year of University/College expense. Send the application and enclosures to:

Remember, the deadline for the receipt of application is March 1st. Do not send folders, binders or photographs. Use only black ink on the application and print or type all information required. Be sure to note your name, address, phone number and school attended on all submissions.
